When I was 15 years old Rachel became by best friend. We shared so much. Each time I think of her and our time together I am transported back in time. 80's music is rolling through my thoughts. Rachel driving with me when I first got my driver's license, encouraging me to be brave. Allowing me to drag her on the dance floor at Danceopolis. Playing cards with our group of friends into the night. Over all just being together laughing, sharing and growing up. Over time as we grew we lost contact. However, she was always my one and only best friend.

I got to know Rachel over the last few years at work. We talked often when she was in the office. She was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. The conversations that stand out are when she talked about her nephew and niece, she was such a proud aunt and she loved them so much. Rachel, I miss you and our chats but know you are in a better place looking down on us with a smile on your face. x

To My Friend Rachel,
I'm so sadden and heartbroken to hear of my FRIEND'S transition from this life on earth, but pleased her now resides in a better place at peace with God. She and I confided with each other the years that we've knew each other. Those conversations, some related to work, personal struggles, health issues, and sometimes just a GOOD talk with each other with a lot of laughter at times. Sometimes, it was just drop whatever that we were doing, and have a good down to earth conversation. Many times she would ask, "Bernie I need to talk", sometimes for hours regardless of time of day or night. I am going to miss those conversations, I AM GOING TO MISS MY FRIEND. It's comforting you know, Rachel I can still hear your voice because of the special bond we had.
