Oziel Rose Katsikas, age 100 years, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, August 8, 2017 at Sunrise of Bloomfield Hills. She was born on July 12, 1917 in Bay City, Michigan the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (Reschke) LeVasseur. On August 2, 1945 she was united in marriage to Joseph P. Katsikas and after nearly 60 years together he preceded her in death on February 3, 2005. Oziel was employed at Ford Clothing Company for many years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Surviving family include her nephews, Thomas DeFrain, James (Susan) DeFrain, David (Andrea) DeFrain and Robert (Karin) DeFrain and many great-nieces and great- nephews. Oziel was preceded in death by her sisters, Monica DeFrain, Vivian Natsis and Marian Mauer.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. The Rev. Fr. Dale Orlik presiding. The family will greet friends on Thursday from 12 noon until the time of the liturgy. Private burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
